Dr. Terry-Lynne Emery is a practicing obstetrician and gynecologist. As the first female Bermudian obstetrician, she has been in private practice for over 28 years. She is board certified in her specialty by both the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Currently, she is the Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology for the Bermuda Hospital Board.
She was educated at the former Central School, the Berkeley Institute and the Bermuda College. Upon graduating from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (CumLaude), she practiced as a registered pharmacist both locally and in the United States. After obtaining her Masters in Management and Human Relations from Webster University, she completed her Doctor in Medicine at Wake Forest University. Her subsequent training in Obstetrics and Gynecology was completed at McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
Terry-Lynne’s community service involves advocating and educating government and grass-root support groups on reproductive care. She was instrumental in the formation of the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART). In addition, she is a member of the Bermuda Pharmacy Council and Bermuda Health Council’s Pharmacy and Therapeutic Committee. She is the proud mother of three adult children; one of whom is a Type 1 Diabetic. Several members of her immediate and extended family have been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes.
Terry-Lynne is an active member of the Sigma Xi Omega Chapter of the AlphaKappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
Outside of her community service, other interests include baking, reading and travelling.
